Welcome to High-dimensional Optical Sensing Laboratory (HDOSL)!

The HDOSL lab is located at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, directed by Dr. Beiwen Li, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Our research focuses on the following areas:

  • Novel intelligent 3D optical sensing solutions

  • Superfast dynamic 3D optical sensing/shape measurements

  • Precision multi-scale 3D optical metrology

  • 3D point cloud/mesh data processing and analysis

  • In-situ 3D-vision-based monitoring for manufacturing processes

  • Applications of high-speed/real-time high-accuracy 3D imaging
